Embodying Change

Embodying Change: Somatic practice for the world we dream of

What do we mean by embodied? We hold that our lived experience and histories live in our bodies and shape our words, actions, beliefs and how we are relationally across similarity and difference. We are shaped by the world around us. When we are seeking change we can often think or long for how we want to be different and not know how to get there. Our bodies hold deep essential wisdom that can guide us to our longings and the world we dream of.

We are offering a 5-week politicized somatic practice space, where you can practice tapping into the wisdom of your body to support the change you are longing for. We live in a world where healing is deeply individualized, commodified and separates us from one another. We hold that our individual healing must include our collective healing. This is because our wounds and trauma are rooted in collective rupture and separation. In this offering we will explore how our individual and collective healing are deeply woven together. These practices will nurture embodied competencies we need to heal ourselves, heal together and build a culture that is liberatory.
